West Lafayette, Ind. — (August 19, 2024) Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) is proud to announce the debut of eight new credit card designs. The eight designs are meant to further increase flexibility and allow our members to carry cards that they are proud of. The eight new designs feature a wide range of options. For Purdue™ fans, there are multiple designs tied to the university’s tradition and legacy. Some of the card options include recognizable logos such as the train, the block “P”, and Vintage Purdue Pete. Other cards feature a nod to the university’s history of astronauts and space travel. For those looking for a design that’s more subtle, there are also two new customary designs featuring the Purdue Federal triangles.
The Signature Vintage Pete card is the culmination of hard work between Purdue Federal and University Book Store, who owns the Vintage Pete logo. University Book Store General Manager, Jeff Sieber, is excited to see the logo being used in new ways and is grateful for the relationship with Purdue Federal. “Knowing the enormous amount of comradery and nostalgia this card will bring to all associated with Purdue University, whether you’re in West Lafayette or New York City, really made this project special for us. We can’t thank Purdue Federal enough for honoring our Vintage Pete in such a distinguished manner and for bringing a smile to every Purdue Federal, University Book Store and Boilermaker fan across the country,” Seiber said. Purdue Federal presented University Book Store plaques as a token of appreciation.
There will be a plaque displayed at each of their two locations on Purdue’s campus.
These new designs will replace the current card designs.
