West Lafayette, Ind. — July 25, 2017— Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) was awarded three “Thank You” awards from their local Junior Achievement Office. Those three awards were presented to Marlene Ballard, Leah Brown and Mignon Evans. They were chosen for this award based on the number of times they volunteered and the number of students that they impacted. Overall, Purdue Federal had 18 volunteers that went in to a total of 40 different classrooms and impacted over 1200 students.
Purdue Federal is extremely passionate about financial literacy in the community. In 2016, Purdue Federal had 8,774 members attend free financial literacy sessions and 6,372 of those attended a session for the first time.
