I started with Purdue Federal on my first day on campus in 1999. They helped me buy my first condo in Chicago and more recently my first house in Georgia. The process has always been painless and the customer service has been exceptional! They have your back!

We had a very good experience with Justin James Dunn regarding switching our home mortgage and HELOC to PEFCU.  Very competitive rates were offered as well as expedient service.  Very recommended.

Rob helped us acquire our first home and the process was very easy with the software uploads and quick response times from their team. They were able to bump up our closing date by a few days so we could use the long Labor Day weekend to move in. They make payments easy and I love that I can see our mortgage loan when I log into my bank app!

My 4th major loan with PFCU. It was the most challenging! Communication must be improved with your team. You do this everyday, we borrowers do not. Please use the "secure" site - I made repeated requests, yet documentation and inquiries came via my personal (unsecured) email. The secured site requires separate login details from my member site & that adds confusion. Please improve the technology! Happy the process if over and the loan is closed. Try them if you have the patience.

Purdue federal credit union was awesome. Emily was very professional and helpful along the way. She juggled not only my personal banking switch , personal mortgage and several rental properties all while allowing me to bug her with many questions. I would definitely recommend them. Especially if you are banking with...... well we will call them 5th turd, ii say change your banking from those crooks to people that care. We have had many occasions to need the assistance of the PFCU employees. In every circumstance we had been very pleased with the professionalism of the people we deal with. Our latest transaction was a loan and we had the pleasure of having Clarissa Cob handle all the details of this transaction. She was so friendly and knowledgeable and made the process so much easier. We have gone to other banking places, but we have stuck with PFCU because of the people who work there.

I tried to refinance my mortgage a few years ago with this PEFCU, I was honest and upfront about my income and issues, I was misled to believe there would not be any problem refinancing my mortgage, I came out of pocket for an appraisal and then was denied, it was a huge waste of time and effort.  This year when I refinanced to get an even lower rate, I did not even look at or consider Purdue Federal based on my previous experience, I would not recommend them.

My husband and I chose to get a home loan through PFCU because of their sterling reputation and philanthropic involvement in the community. Janelle Brinn was my mortgage loan specialist and she was prompt, helpful, accurate and courteous. We will happily work with PFCU again in the future.

Emily has assisted me with two mortgage loan transactions over the last few years. It could not have been more seamless and efficient. We have just refinanced our home with the assistance of Mr. Justin Dunn.  He was prompt, courteous and informative.  We appreciate his help and would seek him again with a future transaction with Purdue Fed.

My husband and I were very disappointed in the whole process of this remortgage. Trying to deal with someone online and doing all the paperwork online ourselves was a hassle and very discouraging. We may be old school but we would never do it again nor would we recommend anyone else to do so. What ever happened to customer service? The biggest most distressful thing was at closing. Waiting one week to get our check for the difference in the loan and borrowed crazy. Weren’t going to change mind.

PFCU has done a great job at communicating with us since we moved to Indiana and became members. Communication has always been timely and polite which can be challenging to find these days. Not only has banking been a breeze to navigate on the iPhone app but also working with the mortgage department staff. Wonderful institution to be a part of.

The mortgage process went very smoothly. We moved to North Carolina and still preferred working with our hometown bank. We got a great rate and it was great working with Joy. She is extremely responsive and has years of experience. This made it very easy on us when we had questions or needed to make small changes. I'm looking to buy a house next year and have been trying to speak to a Mortgage Specialist at Purdue Federal over the last 2-3 months. I've dropped an email via the bank's website, and called 3 times - left a voicemail once with a call back number. Yet no one from the bank has reached out. Now, I'm considering taking my business elsewhere, which is unfortunate as Purdue Federal has been so good to me in the past.

I had an excellent experience working with Mark Johnson. This was the first home purchased by my wife and I. Mark helped navigate us through the process and it was a stress-free experience.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, Jeff brooks over the past 2 months of me going back and fourth asking him about 50 different trucks and cars he was always happy and excited to help me. As a long-time member of Purdue Federal Credit Union, there was never any question about where I was going to go for my first mortgage. I am happy to say that there is still no doubt that I made the right decision! Emily worked with me to make sure I was getting the best rate and monthly payment possible. My experience at Purdue Federal has made the process of buying my first home a lot less daunting.

Our experience was not great. The only time communication with our lender occurred was when we reached out to him. And when we did ask questions, it was difficult to get a direct answer and required several iterations of the question to receive an answer. Had we not reached out, I'm certain we would not have heard from him at all in the final two weeks and he would have let the processors handle everything. If he'd given any direction at all on the process, we likely wouldn't be so disappointed.

PFCU has helped make my dream of building a "forever home" a reality. I couldn't be happier with the loan product and interest rate PFCU was able to offer, but, most importantly, I had a fantastic experience during the mortgage process. Everyone I worked with, from the membership team to the lending team, was knowledgeable, professional, and responsive and worked hard to keep my deal on track. I can't recommend PFCU enough!
