Student Email Giveaway Official Rules

1. No purchase necessary.

A purchase transaction will not increase your chances of winning. You have not yet won. Digital entries and manual entries will be referred to herein as “entries” or each  as an “entry”. Persons submitting entries are referred to herein as “entrants”. Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Subject to change at any time.

2. Eligibility for Promotion

Open to legal U.S. Residents only. Must be 18 years or older to enter. Purdue Federal Credit Union (“Credit Union”) employees and volunteers, and their immediate family members, are not eligible. Social Security Number (“SSN”) required. SSN required for tax reporting.

3. How to Enter

Regardless of entry method used, entries are limited to a maximum of one entry  per SSN. There are two (2) ways to enter:

Digital Entries–Entrants can visit Instagram.com/purduefed, follow Purdue Federal Credit Union, and comment the answer to the associated email question to be eligible to win during promotion period. Entrants will receive one (1) entry for each qualified post. Entries containing obscene or violent words or generated by script or other automated means will not be accepted.

Manual Entries—Entrants may enter manually by printing your full name, telephone number with area code, email address, and the answer to the associated email question on a postage-paid 3” by 5” card and mail it to: Purdue Federal Credit Union Student Email Giveaway, Attn: Marketing, PO Box 1950, West Lafayette, IN 47996-1950. Only mail entries received during giveaway periods will be accepted. Hand-delivered entries will not be accepted. Mechanically and electronically reproduced write-in entries or entries submitted via any third party not directly affiliated with the Credit Union will not be accepted. Additional personal information may be required for IRS reporting. Entries become the property of the Credit Union and will not be returned. The Credit Union is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete or postage-due mail entries. Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified. Entrants submitting multiple entries per promotional period will be disqualified.

4. Prizes

Prize is a $100 gift card to University Book Store. Fair Market Value: $100. The total amount 
of prize awards by Purdue Federal Credit Union for this promotion will not exceed $100.

5. Prize Winner Selection

On April 30, 2026, one (1) potential winner (when verified by Credit Union as set forth below, the “winner”), will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received.

6. Notifications and Release

Potential winner will be notified by email and/or social media by the Credit Union within 24 hours of drawing. If a potential winner does not respond to notification attempts within 24 hours, the prize will be forfeit and an alternate winner will be randomly drawn. All potential winners must comply with all eligibility requirements, terms, and conditions of these Official Rules, and being declared an official winner (“winner”) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. To claim prize, potential winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and compliance (including providing their SSN for tax purposes) and a publicity/liability release, required by the Credit Union as allowed by law, within two (2) business days of notification attempt or they will forfeit the prize. In the event of forfeiture, an unreachable potential winner, a disqualification or if the potential winner declines acceptance of the prize, the Credit Union may award the prize to a randomly selected alternate potential winner. All potential winners are subject to verification by the Credit Union. The Credit Union’s decisions, including the selection and verification of potential winners, are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway.

7. Consumer Disclosure

Odds of winning are based on the number of entries. For example, if there are 1,000 entries your odds of winning would be 1 out of 1,000.

8. Tax Responsibility

Winners will receive an IRS 1099 Tax Form in the mail for the value of the prize. Any member or non-member who wins prizes through any Credit Union promotions with cumulative value equal to or greater than $600 in a calendar year will receive an IRS 1099 Tax Form. Prize winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, local or other taxes, assessments, fees or costs associated with or imposed upon the winner of any prize in this promotion. No prize substitutions or transfers permitted except at the sole discretion of the Credit Union.

9. Release of Claims

Entrants, winners, members of any entrant’s or winner’s household, and their respective relatives and persons who use any prize awarded by the Credit Union, and such persons’ heirs, assigns, executors and administrators release, indemnify and hold harmless the Credit Union and its directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, actions, demands, choses in action and damages which they have now or any time in the future arising from the use of any prize, including personal injury or death. IN NO EVENT WILL THE CREDIT UNION, SPONSOR OR THEIR RESPECTIVE AGENTS BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS GIVEAWAY OR ACCEPTANCE OR USE/MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE.

10. General Conditions

By entering the Giveaway drawing and/or accepting a prize as a selected winner, each entrant/winner agrees that they have read these Official Rules and agrees that they will be strictly bound by them. The Credit Union’s decisions shall be final in all matters pertaining to this Giveaway and any/all prizes awarded. Further, entrants/winners grant the Credit Union the right to use their individual name, addresses, photographs, and likeness for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes and for any other purpose as determined by the Credit Union, in any and all media without limitation, without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. The Credit Union reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Giveaway at any time without notice. The Credit Union reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found violating these Official Rules or who behaves in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Entrants/Winners agree that the Credit Union and its officers, directors, employees and agents have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, statutory, express, or implied, in fact or in law, relative to this Giveaway or to any prize. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of an entrant and Credit Union in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Indiana, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Indiana or any other jurisdiction).

11. Sponsor

Purdue Federal Credit Union is the sponsor of the drawing. This promotion is in no way  sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. The promotion is not affiliated with any other sponsor.
